Vega Vitality - Philanthropy

At Vega Vitality, our hearts are most full when we are giving back to the community.

It is through our volunteer work and philanthropic donations that we feel most aligned with our community and ourselves. Vega Vitality’s Founder, Ashley Hilmes, NP has always been passionate about helping others and establishing authentic connections. She has cultivated a team of like-minded people who share her commitment and enthusiasm for health, vitality, and making the world a better place. Vega Vitality is committed to actively participating in and giving back to the community.

Vega Vitality is proud to maintain the following commitments:

Vega Gives Back – Vega Vitality holds an annual Charity Day. The Vega Vitality team donates their time and patients are given deep discounts on treatments. All the proceeds from the day go directly to local charities. There are raffles, a clothing drive, food, and beverages, etc. It is a hugely successful day that bonds the Vega Vitality Community together and raises funds for extremely important local charities such as Rosie’s Place and More Than Words.

Vega Cares – Vega Vitality employees are required to give back 1% of their full-time commitment totaling ~20hours annually to a volunteering project. Employees can select the individual volunteer project of their choice. These projects inspire employees to make volunteering a priority and integrate giving back into their daily lives. Employees have also found working collaboratively on projects to be a great method for team building.

Vega’s Leadership – Vega Vitality’s Founder & Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, Ashley Hilmes leads by example. She has been working with two charities very close to her heart for many years.

While working in the Cardiac ICU, Ashley met many families who lost loved ones. She wanted to find a way to give back to the families of patients she encountered in the ICU. In her quest, she found Camp Erin. Camp Erin is the largest national bereavement program for youth grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Ashley was so inspired by their program that she decided to volunteer, and she has been a counselor at Camp Erin for many summers. Serendipitously, when Ashley was volunteering met a child of one of her patients who had lost their lives in her unit. It was therapeutic for Ashley and the camper to reunite.

Ashley is also affiliated with Medical Missions for Children (MMFC). MMFC provides quality surgical and dental services to poor and underprivileged children in various countries throughout the world. Ashley travels, with the medical mission, biannually to Guatemala and the Philippines to fix cleft palates. Ashley is honored that she was chosen to be a part of several talented medical teams with the common goal of giving back to the children in need.

The children that Ashley encounters at Camp Erin and MMC hold a special place in her heart. If you are interested in volunteering or donating to the charities below. Ashley and the Vega Vitality team would be happy to connect you to charity contacts. All charities listed below are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
