NeoGen™ PSR (Plasma Skin Regeneration) is a non-laser skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatment that uses controlled nitrogen plasma energy to improve skin texture, wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin laxity.
Unlike laser and radiofrequency devices, NeoGen generates plasma from medical-grade nitrogen gas and delivers controlled thermal energy to the skin. Treatment intensity can be customized from lighter treatments with relatively limited recovery to more intensive resurfacing designed for greater correction.
NeoGen is particularly notable for its ability to treat delicate areas such as the upper and lower eyelids, while also being used on the face, neck, décolletage, and other appropriate treatment areas.
Plasma is sometimes described as the “fourth state of matter.” In the NeoGen system, medical-grade nitrogen gas is converted into plasma within the handpiece.
When the plasma reaches the skin, its energy is rapidly transferred as controlled heat.
This creates a predictable thermal effect within the treated tissue without relying on a laser wavelength, radiofrequency current, or direct contact between an energy-emitting electrode and the skin.
