Sculptra® Aesthetic (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) works gradually over time to create a youthful-looking appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra® Aesthetic helps stimulate natural collagen production. The natural collagen restores the inner structure of the skin and increases the volume that has been lost due to aging.
Most commonly, Sculptra® Aesthetic is injected into the face to restore volume loss, but it can also be injected into the booty to add volume.
Collagen is a critical structural component of smooth, healthy-looking skin. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases. When this happens, wrinkles begin to form.
Sculptra® Aesthetic is intended for use in patients with healthy immune systems. Four treatment sessions scheduled approximately 3 weeks apart are recommended. Results can last for several years.
