Neurotoxins such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, and XEOMIN® work by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles that contribute to facial lines and wrinkles. Treatment can soften dynamic wrinkles while preserving natural facial expression when appropriately dosed and placed.
Neurotoxins can also be used for concerns beyond facial wrinkles, including masseter treatment for facial slimming or jaw clenching, platysmal bands in the neck, and excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Treatment is quick and minimally invasive. Results typically begin to appear within several days, with the full effect developing over approximately two weeks. Results commonly last about three to four months, although this varies by patient, treatment area, product, and dose.
