AVAILABLE AT ALL VEGA VITALITY LOCATIONS
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, improve proportions, and soften changes associated with aging.
At Vega Vitality, filler treatment is customized to the individual rather than approached as a standardized number of syringes or set of injection points. Your provider considers your facial anatomy, existing volume, proportions, treatment history, and aesthetic goals when developing a treatment plan.
Our goal is to create balanced, natural-looking results that complement your features, whether you’re looking for subtle refinement or more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
Most of the traditional dermal fillers used at Vega Vitality are made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found within the skin.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are available in different formulations with varying degrees of softness, flexibility, cohesivity, and structural support. This allows providers to select products according to both the treatment area and the desired result.
Rather than considering every filler interchangeable, we select the product and technique based on what we are trying to accomplish in the tissue being treated.
Filler treatment doesn’t have to focus on a single wrinkle or facial feature.
For some patients, the most natural result comes from evaluating how different areas of the face relate to one another. Small, strategic changes to areas such as the cheeks, chin, lips, or jawline can sometimes improve overall facial balance without dramatically changing any individual feature.
This approach is particularly useful when the goal is refinement rather than simply adding volume.
Dermal filler can be used to enhance lip volume, shape, definition, and symmetry. Treatment can range from very subtle refinement to more noticeable augmentation depending on your anatomy and goals.
Because lip augmentation has its own treatment considerations—including product selection, swelling, proportions, migration, and the amount of filler used—we have a dedicated guide to Lip Filler at Vega Vitality.
There is no single filler that is best for every patient or every treatment area.
Vega Vitality uses products from established hyaluronic acid filler families, including Juvéderm® and Restylane®. Individual formulations have different characteristics that may make them more appropriate for particular treatment goals.
Product selection may depend on:
Your provider will recommend a product based on your treatment plan rather than expecting you to choose a particular filler before your appointment.
Not every injectable used to restore facial volume works like traditional hyaluronic acid filler.
Hyaluronic acid fillers provide immediate volume and can be particularly useful for precise contouring and targeted correction.
Sculptra® stimulates gradual collagen production and is often used when broader restoration of facial volume and support is desired.
Radiesse® can provide structural support while also stimulating collagen and elastin and can be used differently depending on the treatment goal.
These treatments aren’t necessarily competitors. In appropriately selected patients, different injectable approaches can complement one another as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Your appointment begins with a consultation and facial assessment. Your provider will discuss your goals, previous injectable treatments, medical history, and the areas you would like to address.
The recommended product, amount, and injection technique are then selected according to your anatomy and treatment plan.
Results from hyaluronic acid filler are visible immediately, although temporary swelling can initially exaggerate the degree of correction. Bruising, tenderness, firmness, and temporary asymmetry may also occur while the treatment area settles.
Final results should therefore be evaluated after the initial swelling has resolved.
Lip Filler:
Dermal filler longevity varies considerably.
Factors include the product used, treatment area, amount injected, facial movement, individual metabolism, and previous treatments.
Some areas and products may maintain improvement longer than others. Rather than treating according to a fixed calendar, maintenance can be individualized based on how your results evolve over time.
Hyaluronic acid fillers can generally be dissolved with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.
Dissolving may be considered when clinically appropriate for concerns such as unwanted aesthetic results, asymmetry, migration, or certain complications.
Not all injectable products can be dissolved this way. Biostimulatory injectables such as Sculptra and Radiesse behave differently from HA filler.
There is no standard number appropriate for every patient. The amount depends on your anatomy, treatment areas, degree of volume loss, and goals. Some treatments require only subtle correction, while broader facial balancing may involve multiple areas and more product.
Filler does not inherently create an overfilled appearance. Product selection, amount, placement, treatment frequency, anatomy, and injection technique all influence the result. At Vega Vitality, treatment is planned around maintaining facial balance and natural proportions.
Both are families of hyaluronic acid fillers with multiple formulations designed for different treatment characteristics. Rather than choosing solely by brand, your provider can select a specific product based on the treatment area, tissue characteristics, and desired result.
Hyaluronic acid filler creates immediate volume, but swelling can temporarily alter the appearance during the first several days. The result is better assessed after the initial swelling and bruising have resolved.
Most patients return to normal activities relatively quickly, but swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, and temporary firmness can occur. The amount of visible downtime varies by treatment area and individual response.
Yes. They address different aspects of facial aging. Neurotoxins reduce selected muscle activity, while filler can restore volume or modify facial contours. They are commonly incorporated into the same overall aesthetic plan when appropriate.
Filler can sometimes be present outside the intended treatment area. What appears to be migration may be influenced by product placement, anatomy, previous treatments, repeated injections, product characteristics, or cumulative filler volume. Evaluation by an experienced injector can help determine the appropriate approach.
Most hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. However, not every injectable treatment is reversible, and dissolving filler is itself a medical procedure with risks and limitations.
At Vega Vitality, dermal filler treatment begins with your anatomy—not a predetermined syringe count or standardized treatment plan.
Our providers use filler strategically to restore volume, enhance contours, improve facial balance, and support natural-looking rejuvenation while preserving the characteristics that make your face your own.
Dermal filler consultations and treatments are available at our Boston and Cary, North Carolina locations.
