ACUPUNCTURE

Our bodies are made to maintain balance and harmony. When the body becomes overwhelmed with stressors, whether emotional, physical, dietary, or environmental, imbalances occur and symptoms emerge.

Acupuncture, which originated in China over 3000 years ago, is a safe and effective method for restoring balance and cultivating optimal health.

By stimulating certain acupuncture points on the surface of the skin, acupuncture is able to alter and activate biochemical and physiological changes in the body. The stimulation of areas of electrical sensitivity (acupoints) activates the release of pain-reducing opioids, regulates hormonal imbalances, promotes circulation, decreases inflammation and muscle spasm, and boosts immunity.

Because of it’s broad effects in the body, acupuncture is effective for a wide variety of conditions including fertility, pain, anxiety, depression, irritable bowel syndrome, headaches and migraines, chronic fatigue, and pregnancy related-symptoms, to name a few.
